World Water Day

In 1992, the UN General Assembly designated March 22 as "World Water Day" to draw international attention to the critical issues concerning water scarcity and quality worldwide. Despite the apparent abundance of clean water in the US and most of the developed world, more than 1 billion people around the world lack clean, safe drinking water and more than 2.6 billion lack adequate sanitation services.
