The World Is Young is a profound and loving book about youth by Wayne Miller, a former principal assistant and contributor to Edward Steichen's groundbreaking Family of Man exhibition at New York’s Museum of Modern Art in 1956. Each photograph is an exploration and celebration of the simple pleasures and innocence of childhood.

Photography is the most powerful of media because of its inherent veracity, and it behooves us all to guard against attempts to diminish its authority. We have in our hands the world’s greatest instrument of communication; it must be nourished and protected.
