BRANDENBURG, Germany — The German national government has implemented a range of policies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The country has embraced the renewables revolution, particularly wind and solar power, with greater enthusiasm than any other nation. The 30 megawatt WKN wind farm at Zitz-Warchau in Brandenburg is part of a massive investment that has spawned a new manufacturing industry and is making Germany the largest producer of renewable energy in Europe.
